Xuan Zhang is an Associate Professor at the Beijing Institute of Technology. He received a Ph.D. degree from Tsinghua University in 2019 and then worked at Nanyang Technological University as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow until 2022. He focuses on the mechanisms and applications of heat/mass transfer and fluid flow coupling processes, especially phase change problems (e.g., icing/frosting/freezing, condensation/evaporation/boiling, solidification/melting). He has published/co-authored 110+ SCI journal articles, with 10 recognized as ESI Highly Cited/Hot, Featured, Editor’s Pick, Front Cover, and CNKI Highly Cited papers, and 5 books/chapters; he has also been invited to deliver 10 reports at conferences and applied for/authorized 20+ patents and 10+ software systems. His works have been cited 3200+ times in Google Scholar with a H-index of 32 and have been reported 50+ times by famous science and technology media, such as People's Daily, China Science Daily, The New York Times, and EurekAlert. Prof. Zhang has been listed among the World’s Top 2% Scientists by Stanford University/Elsevier (since 2023) and the 0.5% Top Scholars by ScholarGPS Rankings (since 2025). He has received 10+ grants from the National Natural Science Foundation of China, Ministry of Science and Technology of China, etc., and has served as Associate Editor for Particulate Science and Technology; an Editorial Board Member for Scientific Reports; a Youth Editor Member for Coatings, Exploration, etc.; a Guest Editor for Applied Thermal Engineering, Micromachines, etc.; as a Conference Committee Member for Frosting-Icing 2025, MSTP-2024, etc.; and as a Reviewer for 70+ academic journals. He has been recognized with the following awards: the First Prize of Science and Technology Progress Award of Shandong Province, Wu Zhonghua Outstanding Graduate Student (Chinese Society of Engineering Thermophysics), Outstanding Doctoral Thesis (Tsinghua University), Highly Cited Doctoral Thesis (CNKI), etc.

Tetsuji Yamada earned his Ph.D. and M.Phil. in Health Economics from the Graduate School and University Center of the City University of New York and M.I.A. in International Economics and Public Policy, School of International Affairs and Public Policies, Columbia University, New York, U.S.A.
Dr. Yamada is a Professor of Economics in the Department of Economics, Associate Faculty of Preventive Science Graduate Program, Graduate School of Arts and Sciences, He is an Affiliated Faculty/Professor, Institute for Global Health and Development, Peking University, China.
He was an Associate Faculty of Childhood Studies Graduate Program Graduate School of Arts and Sciences, Rutgers University, The State University of New Jersey, and a Faculty Fellow of Civic Engagement of Rutgers University, New Jersey, U.S.A. In addition, he was a former Chairperson of the Department of Economics, a Research Associate for the Center for Children and Childhood Studies at Rutgers University, the State University of New Jersey, USA.
Dr. Yamada was an Invited Research Scholar at Department of Community Health and Preventive Medicine, Hamamatsu University School of Medicine in Japan, was Research Scholar at Hosei Institute on Aging, Hosei University in Japan; and was a Researcher with the ASIA Health Policy Program, Stanford University.
Prior to his current position at the Rutgers University, Dr. Yamada served as a health economist at the International Leadership Center on Longevity and Society in New York, as a representative of the Japan Economic Federation, as a health economics research associate of the NBER, as a member faculty of the Research Fellows of NBER, as a health economics adviser of the WHO, as a visiting research scholar of the University of Tsukuba (Japan), as a research associate of the Center for the Pacific Basin of the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco, as a Visiting Research Scholar of School of Health Economics and Management, Peking University, as an associate professor of Ritsumeikan University, Kyoto, Japan, as a faculty associate of the Walter Rand Institute in Rutgers University, and as an associate member in the Institute of Health, Health Care Policy, and Aging Research in Rutgers University.
His research fields emphasize health economics-related studies: health behaviors, health disparity, demand for healthcare services and outcomes, elderly care, preventive care, healthcare policy and health equity/disparity, accessibility of healthcare services, effectiveness of government healthcare policy, alcohol and drug abuse, hospital cost analysis, pharmaceuticals, and government policy, etc.
Dr. Yamada has published more than 100 research papers, been internationally active in presenting research papers at various professional conferences, and serve as editors, associate editors, referees and reviewers for various professional journals, books, and research funding organizations. His numerous publications appear in the health economics and public health fields.

Raul Duarte Salgueiral Gomes Campilho has a PhD in Mechanical Engineering (2009) and a Habilitation in Mechanical Engineering, both from the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Porto (Portugal). He is an auxiliary professor of the Mechanical Engineering department of ISEP – School of Engineering, Polytechnic University of Porto (Portugal), where he teaches several courses of the Bachelor and Master degree in Mechanical Engineering. Since 2023 he is the vice-director of CIDEM – Centre for Research & Development in Mechanical Engineering. His research mainly focuses on adhesive joints; structural adhesives; design of bonded joints; experimental testing; Finite Element Method; Extended Finite Element Method; Meshless Methods; Cohesive Zone Models; composite materials; numerical modelling of composite materials; micromechanics; macromechanics; design of mechanical structures; flexible production; automation; robotics; and actuator systems. He was the principal investigator of 1 national R&D project and participated/participates as a researcher in 6 national R&D projects, all funded through competitive calls. He is/was the (co)supervisor of 6 PhD (1 concluded and 5 ongoing) and 258 MSc thesis. His publication record contains 340 articles & reviews published in Web of Science-indexed journals and 154 book chapters.

Dr. Yaohua ZHU graduated from the North-Eastern University of China in 1965. Since then he has been working continuously in research institutes and universities for over forty years, majoring in materials science and engineering ( phase transformations and advanced processing of alloys and semiconductors ). He received a degree of Doctor of Philosophy in metallurgy and materials science in 1983 and was conferred a higher doctor degree of Doctor of Science in applied science and engineering, in 2006, in The Aston University, UK. peer reviewed journal articles and 4 books, constituting systematical and original researches have been published covering various aspects of physical metallurgy. His recent research focuses on electropulsing induced phase transformations and their effects on electrical, optical and thermal properties of thin films of transparent conductive oxides and thermo-electric semiconductors.

Diffusion of innovation in the supply chain” received the Leonardo Award, cooperating with the Center for Transport and Infrastructure Analysis and the Polish Chamber of Books, in the category of the best book on logistics innovations. Member of the Chapter of the annual nationwide competition "Innovative Product for Logistics" of the Eurologistics publishing house and "Procurement Leader" watched by the Polish Association of Logistics Managers.

Mihaela Popescu was born in Craiova, Romania, in 1965. She received the Engineering degree and the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from the University of Craiova, Romania, in 1988 and 2001, respectively. She also received a Certificate of Habilitation in Electrical Engineering in 2016.
She is currently a Professor at Faculty of Electrical Engineering, University of Craiova, Romania and Director of Doctoral School of Electrical and Energy Engineering. Her main field of interest includes power converters, adjustable-speed drives, active power filters, and power quality, with more than 250 journal and conference papers.
She is a senior member of Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), a member of the IEEE Industry Applications Society, IEEE Industrial Electronics Society, a senior member of the Association of Computer Science and Information Technology and an academic member of the Electrical Engineering Research Unit in Athens Institute for Education and Research (ATINER). She is also member of the editorial boards of 27 prestigious journals.
